Scanature Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Scanature is designed to keep your documents private on your device.
Documents and files
Scanned documents, imported PDFs and images, saved signatures, edits, and exports are stored locally on your device. Scanature does not upload your documents to a server.
Files leave the app only when you choose to share, export, save to Photos, or open them in another app.
Camera and photos
Camera access is used to scan paper documents, QR codes, and barcodes. Photo library access is used only when you choose to import an image or save finished pages to Photos.
Location metadata
Some Apple photo-selection components may access location metadata attached to a photo you choose. Scanature does not request continuous location access, track your location, or upload location data.
OCR and text recognition
Text recognition is processed on your device using iOS capabilities. Recognized text helps you review, correct, search, and export documents.
Data collection
Scanature does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, contact information, location, or account information.
App Lock
If you enable App Lock, authentication is handled by iOS using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Scanature does not receive or store your passcode or biometric data.
App Store purchases
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple. Scanature receives the product and App Store entitlement information needed to unlock Pro. It does not receive or store your payment card details.
Third-party sharing
Scanature does not sell or share personal data with advertisers. When you use the iOS share sheet, the selected file is sent only to the destination you choose.
